# Staking AUTO

### Staking Fundamentals

Staking AUTO is straightforward.

#### To stake AUTO

1. Open the staking section in the app.
2. Connect your wallet.
3. Enter the amount of **AUTO** you want to stake.
4. Review the staking details, including the current lock structure.
5. Confirm the transaction.

After staking, you will receive **sAUTO**, which represents your staked position.

> **What changed from the old system?**\
> Older versions of the docs may reference choosing a lock duration, reviewing a boost multiplier, or allocating credits to specific Autopools. Those steps are part of the legacy TOKE-era design and are no longer the core staking flow.

Once your transaction is confirmed, your staking position will appear in the app and your rewards will accrue according to the current staking model.

#### FAQ

* **Do I need to allocate rewards after staking?** No. The current staking model is more streamlined and does not require the old pool-by-pool allocation flow.
* **What do I receive after staking?** You receive **sAUTO**.
